Default MH for 46 gal

So Im planning on eventually removing my VHOs from my 46gal bowfront and adding MHs. Suggestions on what I should get as far as wattage? I will probably want two lesser wattage MH because there is a brace in the center of the tank where only one might not look all that great. My corals will include softies, quite a few LPS and very new SPS.

You might go with two pendants if you can not find a 36" fixture. The major benefit of the pendants like say some LuminArc Mini's is that you get a far better reflector. Joe from CopepodGeek.com is running two 250 Watt HQI MH plus two over driven T5 actinics on his 46 bow. And ha alike is keeping a lot of softies, LPS and Gorgs with very little SPS if any. That tank looks way sweet and the corals love the lighting.

I used to run 2x250w halide with 2x65w PC, it was 630w on a 46 gallon, over 13.5w per gal!! I got mine from www.aquatraders.com
Some people dont like them, and I know their customer service is kinda screwy but its the cheapest acceptable fixture around, I know like 8 people with different variations of the dual halides and no probs, and they are standard plugs so you can get ice caps or sunlight supply ballasts and no retro fit/re-wire is needed.
