So I got back from Mexico and came home to see that a stupid piece of montipora had fallen onto my clam and pinned it shut, nothing left of the clam by the time I got home. Looks like my RBT is a little stressed out but other then those two things its doing ok. It is in need of a water change which will be getting done tommorow.
For those of you who don't know it's a 55 gallon with a 29 gallon fuge. We also just put our first inhabitant into the frag tank. A friend of ours had a dying brain in her tank and we decided to throw it into the frag tank to see if it might survive, and it seems to be doing MUCH better. It also is in need of a good cleaning and water change. Pictures will be up probably either later today or after the water changes tommorow.

Alright so after much deliberation about stupid tile getting here and being installed I finally got around to doing my water change last night. I will put some pictures up a little later but they won't be to impressive as I havent don't much with this tank as of late. The reason being is that I just bought a 65 gallon from dingofarmer (with all my $1 bills haha) and I'm cleaning that tank and getting it setup to replace my 55. Also should have pictures of that process as it rolls on as well.
In this new tank I'm am going to try something different when it comes to landscaping my rocks, as apposed to just stacking them and trying to make them look good. If you guys havent been over to reefcentral as of late I want to do it like this >>>>> http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...readid=1650383. His story about that tank is awesome and the way he did the landscaping is even more awesome so I thought I'd give it a try. Anybody got any other suggestions to what I might to do make my tank look good as I'm always open to suggestions or comments.

Juan, those books that I was telling you about have some crazy ideas about aquascaping. If you ever want to borrow them, let me know. Also if you want to drill that 65, let me know. I have a set of glass drill bits!

Ever since you sent me that email I have been searching hi and low to find those books and you were right, they arent cheap lol. I definitely like the way the guy on reefcentral aquascaped his tank but if there are better and more fun ways of doing it then I definitely will be looking into those books for ideas before I do anything.
At some point I definitely am going to drill the tank so that I still use my refugium underneath so we might have to take a look at those glass drill bits!!!

Here is a picture of the tank that dingofarmer sold me. I just sprayed it out before this picture. I'm still in the process of figuring out how I want to aquascape it so at the moment cleaning and organizing everything is all I can do. But a small update this is.

Alright so another tank update. I am FINALLY doing small upgrade from my 55 to a 65. We are still in the process of doing everything, I just wanted to throw out a few photos to show you all our progress.
 This is the 55 almost empty, just has sand in it.  Some of the mess that we have created in this poor room. The red tub is full of LR that has yet to be placed into the new tank and the other tank next to the tub was a jerry rigged refugium, but Patrick built me a sick new one.  This is the start of the aquascape. So far I think Chad is doing a great job, he is the puzzler. I ended up going with the "ruin" piece from petco, wish me luck everyone haha. So thats the little update for now, I should have pictures later on tonight detailing what I hope will be the end of the upgrade lol.
