Default Start Your Fragging!!! Upcoming Swap Feb 20, 2010

Saturday February 20 at 2:30 we will hold a Frag Swap/Sale in Denver. FREE admission to buyers/browsers/observers. Minimal fees for booths, bring your frags or equipment to sell and make some cash!

Location:

Trinity Presbyterian Church
7755 Vance Drive
Arvada, CO 80003

Fee structure and details for sellers:

1) Members: donate a frag to the club selling table ($25 suggested retail value) and get as much table space an you need to sell your stuff. PLUS, you get entered into our “thanks for sharing” special drawing.
(Also applies to Premium, Featured and Society sponsors)
2) Non-members: your table space costs $25 cash or check plus a $25 suggested retail value frag for the club selling table (also applies to Member Sponsors, Business Partners, and non-sponsor commercial entities)
3) Table space for Platinum sponsors: FREE
4) Anyone has the option to add club prepared tank space to their table for an additional $10 per (approximately) one square foot (light, heaters, pump and salt water provided)

Table fees will be fixed amounts, that means no ticket system (as used in the past). Payment methods accepted are up to you. You get to keep all the money you make
.

PLEASE let us know if you will need to have some of the club prepared tank space (water, heat, eggcrate and lights) and the number of square-foot slots you will need. We have limited space and will only provide this if you are pre-registered on a first come, first served basis. It is also helpful if all sellers (individual and commercial) will post here with their table space needs so we can set up enough places.

Schedule:
- The event opens at 2:30 PM for buyers.
- Sellers only are invited to arrive early for setup (between 12:30 – 2:00 PM).
-
The raffle will be held at 4:30 PM

Other Information for Everyone:
- FREE entry into the event
- The club will have both a selling table for the donated frags and a raffle for dry goods/gift certificates. We will have some awesome raffle prizes available, so be sure to save some money to enter the drawing!
- Please bring a snack to share (chips, cookies, etc.), not required, but the more that participate, the more goodies we have to munch on

The last Swap we had in December had to definitely be considered a success and we are hoping that this one is the same AND MORE!! Remember if you want to have a table OR if you want to use club tank space to either let us know here or to email one/all of the board members.

I remember many years ago at a swap, everyone brought a zip lock of sand from their tank and it was all mixed and then everyone got a bag back. The idea is to diversify our sand beds. Is this still a good idea, or something we want to try again?

That's a neat idea. I have a really bad algae issue right now, so I wouldn't personally want to participate, but if people are interested, I can bring a big rubbermaid in which to mix up the sand.

It will DEFINITELY be in Denver. We are working on a couple of locations at the moment as there was a little bit of a scheduling error but hopefully we will have that covered within the next couple of days!!
