That’s awesome to see that graph! Making me want a new apex and trident even more.
Juan, it has been great. Not necessarily needed for sure. Just test every day. One thing that got me in trouble last semester was relying on the controller rather than observing the tank but I probably would have gotten in trouble with that anyhow.... I worked a LOT of hours.

yeah just be nice to have a second pair of eyes to say. Don’t get to spend near as much time with the tank these days and have plenty of vacation planned for the summer.

The tank is looking great, I really enjoy how you've left space for large colonies to grow instead of packing things in too tight.
Thanks! I like to see larger mature colonies. I recently removed a couple larger colonies as well as about 10 lbs of rock in favor of some new more colorful Frags. Hopefully they’ll grow into large beautiful colonies too.

In the spirit of sharing I thought I’d post this. My alk dropped on Friday and I found that my dosing line had clogged. Easy fix. Well then I dosed a bit too much as I was making up for a small clog for a while. I turned off the dos on sat for most of the day. I then turned it back on for the evening at a much lower dos. At some time this am, I think around 5ish my DOS turned on and ran for a couple hours straight and dropped about three weeks of all solution in that short a time. All went to 13.5 and ph to 8.8!

Here’s what it looked like this am... View attachment 16468

After a water change and some filter floss... View attachment 16469

Ph is in line now, alk is dropping. Testing to see what went wrong tonight.

That's positive! More time with the tank is always a good thing.

How are the coral doing after the Alk snafu?
They all seem fine. I’m sure growth is going to slow. No signs of browning out... I think I caught it quickly. Things have mostly stabilized now.

Now I have to figure out how to teach 2D design, 3D design, intro to ceramics and wheel throwing effectively... on line? With 1 week to prepare having never taken or taught on line. I’m told it’s “easy” by my director...lol

That's good to hear! Even though anthozoans live at the edges of their thermal and nutritional limits they tend to be much more robust than people tend to think.

Ahhh now your username makes sense! Wheel throwing!? Ugh I miss doing that, I always found it to be such a relaxing way to spend time while using my hands to create. Sounds like quite the task! I'm not sure how large your classes are but maybe you can use a web meeting interface like WebEx or gotomeeting and everyone can watch as you teach? It'll also allow you to see their progress too. I'm not sure what the maximum number of people are on those platforms but might be worth looking into?
