They usually are. They can eat small fish and shrimp like any fish of size, but some are fine. They are sexually dimorphic and you can get males, females or juveniles.

They get big - really big. They eat a lot. If you feed them enough food, they will stay mostly peaceful. This amount of food, though, might not be reef friendly since they produce a lot of waste.

Ya I hear they eat a lot and only get to about 8” this will prolly be a replacement for purple tang in the 210 that’s getting set up in the next few mths.

I think that 1200G is about right. The one that I had looked more crammed in a 240G than a 7 inch crosshatch.

BTW - I have never seen a purple tank get as big as one of these... not even close. :) They don't eat as much either.

I am gonna need a photo of the parrot when you get it in.

If you don't have a mesh/net top, it might be a good idea to build one.
