Nope I am just really think about putting one on. If I can find one fast enough I have some help here to put in on and not look back.

400w is a big one to just throw on it. Getting tired of t5s or just looking to make things grow faster?

To be honest the 4 hydra 26 are growing but I want more. The size and dimension of my tank are gonna require a monster. Plus a couple people have been putting the bug in my head names will be omitted.

If you can freakin find some!!!! New isn’t much cheaper then leds.
View attachment 12806 . If you can find a quality led that’ll cover 2 feet for this let me know. Hamilton has a sale for three more days. This is what I run. Replace bulbs every 2 years whether they need it or not. Lol. 4 hours a day with actinic led for 10-12.

How come the Cayman Sun isn't on sale? It shows the system at $299...is there a code or something to enter.
I dunno. Call them... I got a deal on something that was not on sale when I got mine. They treated me well. Tell them you are active in a club and will pass on the good experience. I’m happy with mine.

I have 4 Cayman suns over my 600 and love them. They only run for 3 hours but make a huge difference in coral growth and coloration. I’ve had every led out except ghl and the Atlantic v4 and while they do serve a role none can replace mh IMO. Now with my combo between mh/led the tank gets enough light my electric bill isn’t sky high and my bulbs last at least twice as long.

I have a Cozumel Sun Reflector, 250w Radium and M80 if you want to try it out. The Cozumel will really spread the light if you have a large area... the reflector is pretty big. It is one of my backup units that I do not want to sell, but if you want to give it a throw for a few weeks, then hollar... I am in Longmont.

I am not named Mike, but put me in their bucket...

I may take you up on this. Tank is 36x36x27. Do you think a 250 will provide enough useable light. Or is not gonna be quite powerful enough.

Think of m80 and HQI as 250w on steroids... they are more like 300-330w and they put out as much output as most 400w setups. Here is Radium 250w HQI vs Radium 400w... less than an 10% difference in PPFD. FWIW, 20k Radium on an IceCap electronic ballast has a PPFD of 66 PPFD.
