who else is in or considering joining?
I'll be following for sure, but won't be able to join in. I too live in a household where a one tank policy is enforced. I believe the exact name of the document was 'The One Tank Policy Memorandum of Understanding'.
In all reality, we don't have the space for another tank and I don't have the time and energy to put into it.
I am excited to see how these tanks turn out!

There was LR on CL not too long ago for $3 a pound, or less if you purchased more. I do not buy dry rock, so I have no idea about it.

I have dry, but I didn't know if we were allowed to start soaking it in a bucket /trash can or not, and if so would the price I paid have to be adjusted.

I think that this is where being fair and reasonable comes into play. Less than full-on live rock, but more than complete dry is probably a good place to be.

I almost have all of the gear for my tank too... going to do a 60g cube. Gonna start a thread before long.

You can cure it, but ya I might add $50 to the price of the rock, or something like that.

$3 for it cured sounds reasonable to me

FYI - Dr Fosters and Smith is going out of business and everything is at least 25% off. I just got a 200g box of IO for this contest for $41 shipped.

You guys and your expensive rock, don't think I have ever paid more than $2 a pound and I have to have around 2000 pounds or so

Agreed. I have never paid more than $1/lb even for cooked rock. Granted cooked rock weighs more than dry so cooked rock at $1/lb is probably more like $1.50/lb if it were bought dry then cooked.

I will most likely do it, but don't want to confirm until closer to ReedED.

Reef Ed going to be April 13th this year. Be sure you are registered and paid up before then. If you wait till the event, it will be to late.
