Blob taking over my zoas I got at the frag swap!

What the heck is this thing?

Seems to be choking my teal rings, it started with 1 arm and in the last couple days taken over....flow is slow but steady. here's the details:
1. got the teal ring frag at a frag swap
2. its down in my sump/frag farm
- Temp - 79.4
- Ammonia - 0
- Nitrates - 0
- Nitrites - 0
- PH - 8.33
- KH - 10.3
- Ca - 400
- Salinity - 1.025

Hard to tell, looks like a sponge. Is it white and a lil pasty almost? If so, scrape it right off...

Ya hard to tell but at first glance it looks like a giant cricket or something until you look closer and see the zoas in it. Maybe some kind of sponge. Can you get a better pic by chance?

Yup, definite sponge, the hole gives it away... Use a small scalpel or even a tooth brush n scrub it right off...

yep spondge, never seen one grow over corals like that before though. most a generally harmless but that one certainly picked the wrong spot to grow.
