Bulk Carbon

Just curious what everyone uses for activated carbon. I am looking to buy a 5g bucket or so but not really wanting to spend $200 from bulkreefsupply. Anyone else have a good source for high quality, high surface area, bulk carbon?

Not quite the surface area of the Rox.8 from BRS but more then other activated carbons, and half the price

Unless you have a specific long-term us, hardly anybody gets any benefit out of the rox - it will get all biological before you can fill all of the pores up. The large particle lignite is probably just fine.
