What would be a good package for my 60g cube?
the #3 is what I'm going with for my 60. That just feels right to me not any other science around my decision or anything. Lol

however I have allot of live rock and new algae in my tank so I believe I sustain a crew that big. The time I used all dry rock I didn't go with such a large crew to start. I'm sure Nick will chime in here.

I was curious about ordering #3 since I used all dry rock with 2 pieces of "seeder" live rock. Needless to say, I dont have much algae growth (none right now since I have no lights) but I do anticipate some blooms once the light is up and running.

The tank has been up for about 2 months at this point. I have cycled it without lights and havent seen any signs of life or algae.

That may change once you turn the lights on.

that is because life needs light it is part of how algea feeds to properly cycle a tank you need atleast some light without algea that give the "live" of the rock nothing to really eat after the ammonia nitrites and nitrates are gone
