Good point. If I go this route I will probably "dose" water into a measuring cup for a week to at least check accuracy. That's also why I'm hoping to find someone that's had experience I'm DIY dosing. One safety net is using the Apex to kill the pumps if the ph gets over like 8.2. This could save you if the pumps fail and are dumping in too much.

That's what I was thinking as well. Definitely want a controller on there to help monitor.

with the apex you just use your on off control. and do an initial measure to figure out how long you have to run it for to get your desired dose daily.

That would depend on what you are wanting to dose. Magnesium or trace elements would use the on/off control on a timer, alk would use your PH probe, top off could use a float switch and/or your ORP probe, etc.
