So for those who saw my thread about peppermint shrimp eating my acans. Here is the way I caught them. My fish trap caught 1 in a week. This trap caught 7 in 2 hours. There are a couple left, but my acans look really good in my frag system so I am in no big hurry. This is all 1" pvc, but could be sized up for larger shrimp.

Picture 1 is the layout for the trap. The mesh bag gets a food the shrimp will eat, I used NLS pellets. it goes into the pvc cross end and the 3/4" cap fills fills the hole. Then the Gutter Guard pieces are folded to make a cap similarly sized to the 3/4"cap and inserted into all the holes but one on the side( do not give the shrimp a straight shot out of the trap). Then submerge it into the aquarium. Once the shrimp go in(I was catching two at a time) you put the other 3/4" cap in to close the trap and remove.

Pic 2 is the cap and mesh cap
Pic 3 is the complete trap used in my 75
Pic 4 is a sized down version
