Looking for a plumber recommendation-Have a leak in ceiling under shower

Have you opened up the ceiling to see the pipes?

not yet. but the ceiling is nice and soft.

I would at least open it up so it can be ventilated to prevent some mold issues. Then you can see what's going on. Might be as simple as using a sharkbite to fix a fitting.

I do not do plumbing, but I can repair the damage it has done, and take care of mold mitigation as well.

I have fixed many drains, and I worked as a finish worker for a few years. mike what size/gauge is the plumbing? is it just the down spout for the bath tub that is leaking at the union to the drain. if so ten buck from lowes for a new fitting. also anyone can use compression fittings, however if not properly installed they will leak over time. pm me if you would like and I may be able to help
