I am a newbie. I got some free silver Xenia and a couple of loose mushrooms yesterday from majicmike yesterday. The Xenia was removed from glass on the side of the tank and the mushrooms were on the sand. I though I had secured everything well with rubberbands last night. This morning when I looked in the tanks both were gone. My question is should I look around and try to find the pieces or let them find a place they like? I have heard of mushrooms releasing and floating around tanks if they don't like where they are placed is the same true of xenia? I have a 72 gallon that has been running for 2yrs and have green polys and yellows polys that are happy and reproducing and my water chemistry looks good. Thanks

I would find them.
You don't want to lose control of the xenia....it will grow so fast that it will take over. Not a bad thing if you love xenia,
but as your tank matures you may want more sps and less xenia.
The mushrooms should be fine but you got them so you could look at them hehe.
