If the all in one quarantine tank is not an established setup, then I think it's recommended to place established biological filtration media to handle the bioload from the fish. But I'm not sure if you would want to use media from your main setup that is infected with ich. Maybe you already have a plan in place..

Exactly the issue I'm running into is this. I think bottled bacteria will be a help and water changes.

There's no fast way to get them cured so I'll be diligent about water quality.

I have one. I have to sanitize it somehow before I put it in there. I also use prime to neutralize ammonia.

Turn of events. Fish in quarantine died. Somehow both got into the overflow and fatigued and couldn't recover from it. Had a severe precipitation in the tank while trying hyposalinity and dosing soda ash.
