I made my own for 5 dollars

I used the alumimum duct work tape (duct like for HVAC, not duck tape)
Ran two strips, A and B
used two wires going to the breakout box for a switch
If switched is closed, there is water - send me a message

Dave I tried the same thing. No dice. I read that some people needed to add power to the strip while others didnt. Wonder what I did wrong?

Did I use the wrong tape maybe?

Ok I was just wondering if its to close it might jump circuit on its own but you would probably have to be running some serious voltage for that to happen.

I made a leak detector out of a old smoke alarm, wire and that silver ventilation tape. Not as fancy as something hooked up to a controller that sends an email but it worked.
