As far as I know, the nerite snails typically kept in SW tanks will lay eggs all over, but they aren't viable. They actually need brackish water for the eggs to hatch...but I've not come across any species that will also live in FW.

i keep tiger and olive nerite in my fresh water tanks, they lay eggs all the time but dont hatch un less in brackish ,so i was hoping that there was a type that could breed out in saltwater because i would rather start up a saltwater tank then brackish
