So I figured I would try my hand at a freshwater planted tank. It isn't much right now but I'm hoping I can make it look nice by the end. I got it for a birthday present, and it has been cycling for 2 weeks. I walk into petco ( didn't want to drive far) and bought two plants and 5 serpae tetras on impulse, but they are hiding right now. The substrate is black sand from catfish Charlie's (3.49 for a 5lb bag). This tank is gonna be super low tech, maybe do a small led in the future eventually. Let me know of suggestions or tips as I have no clue about planted tanks, just didn't want a saltwater nano haha.
