Sun coral - Whats so hard?

#1
So they described as expert only. Is this mainly due to having to feed them +3 times a week? If I can maintain and grow other LPS, should I be able to keep a suncoral?

It's not a LPS, its a NPS. I needed to feed EVERYDAY. I got tired quickly of that. I had a 2L bottle top I cut off and placed on top of the coral to feed, had to shut off all flow and bat away everyone else trying to get more food. I started taking it out and placing it in a small tub to eat, then I would put it back into the tank.
Don't get me wrong, super awesome coral. The work involved is not for me though.

they are so cool and neat. One time at night I saw mine feeding on these small copepods swimming in the water. it was pretty cool. The thing is that you need to feed it too much and it can be a pain. the food gets around the tank and my skunk shrimp rips the food out when they are eating. they can be tricky to feed to.
