They absolutely shouldn't. Sexy shrimp are many times hosted by carpet nems which are far more potent with stinging than a sunburst/rose/green BTA. I hope that isn't what might have happened...anything seems possible in this hobby though!
False alarm, he was dancing on it, then it looked like it had eaten something, and no Rex (my sexy shrimp) to be found. Two hours later, the anem looked normal, and Sexy Rex was back!
