Hey guys, I have a friend who is getting into aquaponics and they are looking for either a tilapia breeder or a good freshwater fish store that could help them out. I have zero experience with that, so I was wondering if anyone here could help point them in the right direction.

Thanks.

The Asian market in Aurora has them on a regular basis.

Try a fishery. I know they use them sometimes to eat up the fish poo from the other fish they are raising. Although these are fairly large fish and need quite a bit of food I believe. Generally only commercial setups use these. I know a good many hobbyist that do aquaponics use goldfish and other bottom feeder fish

I would recommend that they give Ray @ The Koi Lagoon a call. He and his staff are very, very knowledgeable about outdoor ponds and everything associated with them.
