What is this on top of my water?

I had to empty out my sump yesterday and used a vinyl hose with a pump. When I turned the hose on a lot of white stuff came out in the water. It disintegrates when you rub it between your fingers.
Is this just a bacteria coating that was inside the vinyl or should I be more concerned about the water?

FYI, there was a lot more than this. This was the easier to shoot a pic of.

It just looks like some crud that had accumulated in the tube. i would worry. scoop out what you can and make sure your skimmer is running well.

Is it used pipe? If so, it could be tissue mold

Has the hose been used for salt water before? Looks like a film I get in my hose from salt water
That's what I was thinking. Had it running for a few days as a return hose/pump and then shut it off for a week before using it to move water. Thought it might be the film that builds up and it had dried out, water hasn't been sitting in it.
I'll strain it out non the less just in case.
