Chelseagrin in different places claims 10 and 12 years experience but all the questions are noob questions. And then there's this gem of a comment:

Re: algae on coral?
will the coral be affected by that time though? do you think they even have a chance? its only 15 bucks so not much of a loss if they dont make it but that would be awesome if they did.

It takes all kinds of people to make up this wonderfull world, I am quite sure there are good and bad, smart and stupid, on all forum sites,
and opinions are like butt holes, everybody has one, the stinky ones are the most noticed.

Hosting is touch and go, they (usually the female) will find something sooner or later, try discosoma/rhodactis mushrooms, elegance, frogspawn, any big fleshy corals. (well almost)

I have always seen my males host first.

My perculas like two, rather small hairy mushrooms and the percs are huge, it is very funny to watch. I put a large hammer in with our black ocellaris and they are not interested:)

I have a 5 gal ecopico with an external filter and fugue. It contains frogspawn, torch, hammer, tiny Xenia and a GBTA. Last week I added a perc/occelaris clown and was pleased to see it immediately host the anemone. Both will be moved to a larger tank later though the clown seems more than happy with the tank size.

More to the point, I've heard you can encourage hosting by placing both in a small container so the get used to each other. Something preferably that sits in the main tank but allows flow through it.

Since people keep posting on reefsanctuary.com...why not just post a link to the thread so other people will lose respect for the him/her/it.

Aaron, did the clowns I got from you a couple months ago host anything in your tank?? They only host the corners in mine.

Yup, the female took like 6 months to decide to host in my flame tip BTA, I was waiting for what seemed like forever, as soon as she did, it made the BTA mad and it started moving, killing stuff, and that was the last chapter in my clowns and nem book.

I know it is very unlikely but it sure would be swell if my clowns host my rock anemone.
