So i went tomy Dads house tonight to check on his tank. I find 4 dead fish. Powder brown purchased Sunday, naso one week old, copper band two months old, and a heniocous onw week old. He did an internet order and the small fish are doing well, as are his other small fish such as clowns, gobies, and a blenny. So what gives with the 4 big boys dying?
Parameters...112 gallon longm kept at 80 degrees, 1.023 salinity, skimmer, refug, lots of flow for corals. Feed mysis, greens for Tangs, coral frenzy, restore, and weekly wat changes with salinity salt.

So he are my two theories.
1. Too many new too fast.
2. They are all similar shape and size, so stressed from move to new tank plus fighting.

How did you acclimate them?
Online orders need better acclimation because the pH is drastically reduced during shipping.
pH shock? Osmotic shock? Was the salinity close to yours?

Multiple answers...
125 gallon. Temp constant at 79-80. Acclimation was a drip--drip--drip-- over hour and a half which made the water almost triple the amount of water. Osmotic shock, wouldn't that have happened before a weeks time passed?
Thanks for ideas, done want to make the costly mistake again.
