I need to buy a Potentiometer, but would like to grab one locally. The one that rapid sells is:

http://www.rapidled.com/10k-ohm-linear-potentiometer/

  • Resistance: 10K Ohms
  • Power rating: 0.2 Watt

The closest I can find at Radio Shack is:

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062357&locale=en_US

  • Wattage rating of 0.5W
  • Tolerance 20%
  • 250VDC

I will be using it on a Meanwell LPF-60D-54 Dimmable Driver with 12 3 watt LED's.

I figured I could grab a old power supply that I have, as long as the output is less then 10V, and use it.

I may have a few of those radio shack potentiometers laying around...I'll PM if I do and you can have them. I tested them, they work on LEDs.

I live in SE Denver, so Spark Fun won't work. I also just looked at Micro Centers website, and they don't have any.

Any idea on the one from Radio Shack?

I had a tough time finding the radio shack ones...it took trips to 4 stores before I found them locally.
