Gate valve?

Want to put a gate valve in my skimmer. Im not sure how to set it up or what exactly can go, what needs to stay etc. Here's a picture

On the skimmer output right? Leave the adjuster tube or take it out?

Yes on the output side. You can leave thr adjuster tube.

Cool thanks. Do I want to run the tube wide open?

If you haven't already figured it out, no, you want to run the adjuster tube all the way closed (down) and only use the gate valve to adjust pressure within the skimmer.

Oh ok cool. I have not done it yet I need to get the valve first. Been messing with all the dosing lately and that's been consuming my time
