Ok folks I would like to attempt to have two speakers for the upcoming Reef Ed (April 30). I think one of the speakers should be someone from the national scene (from MASNA List) and then the second being a local speaker. I am not overly worried about the costs associated with them as I would hope that we can receive a $300 reimbursement from the MASNA Speaks program and then I believe that CORAL would also be willing to help out as well.

Here is the list of speakers from MASNA:
username: MASC
password: MASCcoral

Please post up a few thoughts on who you would like to see as a speaker from the national scene after your review of the list.

Possible Speakers from MASNA:

Possible Speakers Locally:

Rob Byrnda - from Denver Aquarium
Rob Mougey - Local Legend, President of Coral and Vice President of MASNA

Reef Ed Speakers

Any of the big names work for me.
Julian Sprung
Charles Delbeek
James Fatherree
Robert Fenner
Mike Paletta
Ron Shimek

We should get on this though.

I would love to have Julian Spring wonder what he might cost......

Hey also what is everyone's thoughts on Mr Saltwater Tank aka Mark coming ? Seems to me he might draw a decent crowd and following.

This is a good list. Fatherree spoke at Reefstock last year, but with the snow storm it wasnt exactly a packed house.

I would also add the following speakers I would be really interested in hearing:
Kevin Kohen
Matthew Pedersen
Richard Ross

Drop Fatherree then. I think I saw him speak last year.
Yep, I remember you being there. He wasn't the most engaging speaker either. Kevin Kohen's talk at MACNA I thought was really engaging.
