My T5s went haywire, pretty sure it was the ballasts.

So I went and got 2 brand new work horse 7 ballasts, but I dont know much about them, nor have I ever retro fit my own T5s.

My question is this, how many 48" T5s can I run on one ballast, and does anyone have any wiring diagrams for this. I didnt wire the previous T5 retro set, it was already in the canopy I bought and Im not entirley sure they were wired correctly in the first place, considering the bulbs I bought 3 months ago have completley fried out. Id like to just hook these new guys up and completley re wire the thing, just to be sure.

Im hoping I can run 2-3 48" bulbs per ballast, 2-3 in front of the halides and 2 - 3 behind.

Please let me know thoughts on this, all help is greatly appreciated.

Check out this link:

On the right side select your lamp type (T5HO), then the next drop down box will give you all of the wiring options. As Brent pointed out, you can run 4x54W bulbs with each ballast.

The wiring diagrams on the next page are pretty straighforward...I've replaced ballasts on a couple fixtures and they've been working flawlessly.

edit: couldn't see Brent's image until after I posted :p
