Hey all!
Other than doing water changes...trying to get my alk down...should I be slamming a bunch of CA in there to try and precipitate some of that out? Level is 247

Thanks
Dave

I have heard of many tanks in similar situations that just wait it out with no negative side effects. It should clear itself up soon....

ya I'd say let it come down on its own. You can help with small water changes every day to help, but if you do it to fast you could cause more issues. How'd you get it so high?

Hey guys....sorry been away from the boards for a while.
A few water changes later things are starting to come back. Lost both my cleaner shrimp...which is a bummer....had them for several years and they had produced many broods together. :-(
The problem was a flow problem with my two part dosing...I FIXED the problem and the resultant improved flow spiked the ALK. :-(
Haven't seen my female Pistol Shrimp in a while either...I really hope she didn't die too. :-(
