Hi All--
My male perc, since I got him, has had this come-and-go issue of what looks like wounds or lesions on him that appear white in color. It really looks like an open wound but superficial enough not to be a gaping wound. Anyway, they come and they go and I never thought much of it figuring maybe he and the Mrs play a little too hard or that he injures himself on the live rock.
However, this week has been very busy and I didn't pay much attention to the tank until today. I found this same wound/lesion issue but in a BIG way-- on his tail and on his "chest" as well as several other areas but not as bad as his tail and chest. Again, looks like a lesion/wound and is white in color-- flesh/scale are missing in those areas.
His behavior doesn't seem out-of-the-ordinary and he is eating fine. His breathing seems ok too though I always thought it seemed a little fast.
For the life I me I could not get a photo of my fish-- wobbles too much! So I googled some key words to describe it and here are a few of what looks like his issue.
Thoughts on the diagnosis? I went to GBR today and got some SeaChem KanaPlex as I believe it is bact/fungal in nature. Your thoughts on this medicine?
Thank in advance.
Please note that the marks on these fish match what are on my perc but by his tail and chest it's MUCH MUCH worse.
