Hello all been a while for me. just been having fun outside lol

Anyway I have a neon candy cane coral that swelled up about a week or two ago. It looked like it was full of water and it would swing and flap around in the current. Well now it's melting! It's a good 3-4 inches long now letting gravity take over it hangs cloer to the sand every day. Is this normal or is it dying or what? I read mixed reviews, some people say it's reproducing and other say it's withering away. Let me know if this ever happened to you.

Mine get elongated like that when they are getting ready to drop small heads. Pics might help to see what is actually happening.

That's a type of a-sexual reproduction, LPS can develop a calcified lump, and when it gets heavy enough it will drip off and if it lands in an acceptable spot it will grow.

ok sounds good lol I mean it's not fading in color or anything. i can take pics when i get home. I moved it thinking it was too much current or light guess I should have left it alone
