My 125 up and runing 1st time reefing

hey guys as you know i have been putting my tank together finally got all my stuff and my tank has been running for about 2 days now i got about 130 pounds of mixed rock in the tank and 30 pounds in the refug. about 3-4 inch deep sand bed on the base of it here are my gadgets

* 72x18x23 oceanic tank i think!
* 40 gallon refug
*quietone 5000 return pump
* swc 160 extream cone skimmer
* 3x250w mh 24000k bulbs with ballast
* 2 brs reactors with rox carbon
* 2 koralia 750s and 2 425s
* wavemaster pro
* RKl
* 2 60watt led strips 1 actinic 1 50/50 dimmable
* Kent marine 4stage rodi with ATO

its still a lil mirky cuz of me putting in the sand and rock but in a day or 2 it will be crystal clear

I would check a few things, ammonia, salinity, pH, and temp are all ok I would put a tester coral in.

well temp is good ammonia is still a lil high ph is 8.3 and the temp has been constant at 77-78 i got a controller for my heaters and gravity is at 1.023 half way to 1.024 and salinity is at 32 ima wait a week more before i add anything

the tank is looking sooooooo much better still a tiny bit cloudy but def alot better here is a pic[attachment=60635:name]

haha thanks man i did my best got like 4 over hangs in it i think it looks sweet too my father was like damn dude you got a lil chunk of paradise in the living room

well i like both sps and lps wanted to do a mixed tank softys and hardys live stock wise i know ima get one tang and 2 clowns 100% and a manderin

That sounds a lot like my stocking list! The clowns are a good first addition, since they are a hardy fish. For the tang, I speak from experience when I say go for one that's a little older rather than a juvenile, since it's much easier to keep them alive. Finally, you'll want to wait a long time (8-12 months) before adding the mandarin so that your tank has time to get a stable pod population, and consider dosing some pods into your tank and fuge. Those are just the results of the research that I've been doing on those fishies.

yah im going to order a pod package from reefcleaners for the 125 and introduce them to the tank and befor i even add all that ima have my cleaner crew in there doing work lol

So I'm ordering a ro di unit today for waterchanges and auto topoff LOL been getting 5gallons of evaporation everyday

i know right lol never thought it would be that much but i got alot of surface agetation and i been at a stead 77-78 so maybe thats why im not sure. but things are looking good cant wait to get some corals going in there

just got my ro/di system its a Kent Marine Maxxima Hi-S RO/DI Water System 60gpd its sweet got it for 80$ only been used for 6months
