Hi,
I'm moving soon and I am looking for help designing a new custom tank system to fit in an unusual (but really cool) space. I could also use some advice on moving my current 55 gal tank to a temporary location in the new house.
The new house has a nook in a wall, which I would like to reinforce and use for a custom tank. I think it will look fabulous, and will be highly practically too because there is a closet behind the wall that I intend to make into the official "Fish Room" for sump, supplies, etc. I'm really excited about this idea, but I'm a beginner and I need lots of advice on implementing this plan. I'd like to do it right and design the best system I can for this cool space. Some initial questions are: what dimensions would be ideal for a tank? what's a good place to order a custom tank? glass or acrylic? And then, based on the tank size, what are recommendations for the best lighting, filtration, etc?
I know this is a really broad question, and it would be difficult to get specific advice for this unique space just by forum feedback, soooo.... I'm looking to hire an expert for some on-site consulting. Do any forum members have recommendations for such a consultant?
Thanks!
Cathy
