Need To Borrow Chiller

#1
Does anyone have a chiller they're not using that I might be able to use for a week or 10 days? I had to send my chiller in for repair and my water is baking to the point where I can't even run my halides. I'd be happy to give someone some frags (and I have some good ones) in return for letting me borrow it. Thanks

I used to freeze blocks of RO for when it got real hot just an idea if you can't find a chiller.

Thanks for the idea. I might have to try it. I did put some ice in a bag in my sump last night and it dropped the temp maybe 1/2 a degree.

What size tank?, I have a small chiller, but,....fans man, even at the glass, thermal diffusion works great.

Agree with Aaron. I have a tiny 8" fan over my 125 and it drops my temp 4 degrees with ease. Evaporative cooling ftw.

Do you have a cover over your tank or do you let the fans blow right over the water?

I have 1/4 netting to stop fish from becoming jerky but its more or less open. The fan is angled at the water.

Fill 2 liter pop containers with water and freeze. Those work well.

+1, this is what I used to do in the summer. Just float them in your sump and swap out as needed.
