Just joined a few days ago and figured I should post my current build.

Stats:
Size: 2ft x 2ft x 2ft
Capacity: 60g tank w/ 30g sump
Skimmer: Bubble Maggus Nac 6
Controller: Apex full unit with 2x VDM
Lights: Self built 2x 220watt LED fixtures
3 Channel per light - Blue, White, Color
Live Rock: 45 lbs of fiji, 20lbs of tonga branch, 12lbs of real reef
Sand: 60lbs of Fiji pink sand

I hadn't considered hard plumbing. Currently I have solenoids hooked up with my return pump so I can swap from return to the tank and then pulling water out for water changes.

I am working out the details to make these with a clean professional look to them. And have plugs and an enclosure.

Awesome. You did your hw on equip and didn't spare a dime. Well done. I love my apex. Best thing I ever bought! Get on the list for the par meter and check out par on those bad boy lights. You def will be surprised with your outcomes. I sure was when I check par on my DIY led.

I was considering buying a seneye and take my readings.
