tank question

Needs agitation to produce oxygen in the water. I'd say corals 72 hrs without light. Fish, longer, but need air.

not that long. with no circulation, i hate to say this, but no pumps/circulation/aeration... it wont last overnight. you will have deaths in the morning and once that happens its all downhill. WHat kind of tank and with what inhabitants?

Re: tank question

I'm a big fan of battery backups with air bubblers. They provide enough flow to keep corals alive.

my thoughts go out to everyone who has to leave unexpectedly like that. How close are the fires to your house? As long as you get you and your family to somewhere that is safe, that's all that matters. We can help you get your corals and stuff replaced if you lose everything.

If you can get a small group to tear out all the live stock fast tonight you should be ok. i don't know what the status of the evac is.

Sorry been busy.. House is fine Chris reefkoi took my fish and corals kindly and I asked him to sell them. Everything else is gone. All that's left is rock sand and equipment and accessories that I'm selling on another thread
I'm getting out of hobby and gonna be busy cleaning up house reading things on our land and we won't have time or money for new tank. our 5 acres of land are badly burnt and we almost lost our house.

Wow, sorry to hear. Glad that your house was spared...and hope to see you back in the hobby once you're settled back in at home.

Best of luck to you guys as you regroup.
