Lost an acro and found red bugs. Grrr.

One tab would be more than enough if anyone has some. I talked to my vet and they were willing to help, but had none on hand.

take your acros out and dip them in bayer advanced complete....

I would, but a few of my acros are fully encrusted onto the rocks. I'd feel ok dipping frags, but would rather not disassemble my scape to dip half the live rock in my tank.

I am going to start using that as a dip instead of CoralRx though...I used 5x the dose when I pulled the dead acro and there were a few still crawling around 10 minutes later.

ya, coralrx doesnt kill redbugs....
Yea...unfortunately I learned this after dipping everything in my tank with that for the past several months and ending up with red bugs. :p

So frustrating...

you will be able to... its just a hard battle... unfortunately you will have to do another treatment in a week or so so kill off any newly hatched babies.

That'd be great! I'm only dosing ~20 gallons of water volume, so as long as it's not the tablet for a 2lb dog, whatever size tab you have on hand will be plenty for my tank.

I'll send you a pm.

Careful if you have any shrimps!

Shrimps, crabs and other crustaceans should be removed prior to treatment, as they will be killed by the treatment.

Yep. I have a single skunk cleaner shrimp in there that will need to be removed. Luckily he eats right out of my hand and crawls up my arm if I'm working in the tank, so netting him shouldn't be a huge issue. ;)

One of 2 hermits were already removed from the tank and placed in the sump for now...I should be able to catch the other one when I feed the tank. I think my emerald crab might be the only crustacean that I'll be unable to catch. I've been trying for a good month since he started nipping at coral here and there...honestly if he bites the dust I won't be all that hurt. Although he does actually eat bubble algae when it pops up, he's hobbling around with 1 claw anyway and spends most of his time stealing food from coral.
