Its all personal preference. But if you want your return line to be like a power head I would go with either a store bought or self made flow accelerator.


Also, Is the tank this on a reef ready or are you having to use an overflow box?

the tank is drilled for drains but not for the returning water , it is fresh water tank only 700gph return with 2 1'' over flows and a 55 gallon sump with dsb
