Coral Beauty died suddenly

I've had it for almost two years. It looked fine this morning - swimming as usual and feeding as usual. This afternoon I saw it on the bottom with a brittle star arm around it and an asteria starfish on each eye and it's mouth. There were no spots of any kind or other markings on it's body or fins. Whatever happened, happened very quickly.

Nothing has changed or been added to the tank and all of the other fish (foxface, marine betta, orchard dottyback and engineer gobi) and corals look fine. Last water change was done two weeks ago (normally every three weeks) and levels look good now.

I lost my naked clown two weeks ago when I left the cover off at night :-(

That hadn't occured to me but I guess it's a real possibility. Now I need to worry about my Betta.

You are correct. I was just trying to think of possibilities. I have had a foxfire that killed one of my other fish on accident.
