I have heard that dosing to much or not slowly enough can cause this. I dose 15ml of BRS Calcium and Alkalinity each day. Calcium while lights are on and Alkalinity when lights out. Does the clumping sand effect the tank at all? I mean I can turn my mp10s up higher now

Could be precipitation or low aklinatiy to low ph makes the water acidic...it dissolves the calicum carbonate that is your sandbed and it clumps together.
