I was curious if anyone made it out this weekend to see James Cameron's Deepsea Challenge 3D? My wife and I went to see it Sat night. Of course the ticket isn't cheep for 3D, but I think it was worth it. The national geographic site about the project is: http://www.deepseachallenge.com/. I could have watched 4+ hrs of them just going deeper into the tech gadgets used in the building of the sub.

There wasn't too much in the film as far as impressive sea life. I guess that's just how it goes when you get that deep. There were a few shots of shallow reef life. Eye candy.

Anyway, there were around 10 people in the theater on Colorado Blvd for that showing. I wondered if there any reef nerds like me made it out.
