Well, maybe not 6 inches, but when I started, it was splashing out the tank. I posted a video on SCMAS. The lower the water level, of course I can 6 inches. I do 35g pwc and leave the pump on. It'll splash water up to the overflow. The corals love the pump. Better growth and quicker. Of course I've sold them all... Lol
