I'll be camping that day and I don't think my wife will appreciate me being tied to the computer/phone while we are away.

You just gotta try harder, I convinced the wife to move back her c-section date so that I could participate...granted the doctor may have suggested it first for the health of the baby but I was very supportive of the date change like any good husband/father should be.
"Yes dear I think it'd be a great idea to move it back to the next week and while we are on the topic could you watch the kids Saturday night so I can sit on the computer hitting refresh for 2 hours?"
