Protein Skimmer Help

First, does anyone know what kind of skimmer this is?

Second off when I put it in the sump it just sucks water up and overflows. Help?

I assume you've tried raising it up a bit, and opening the valve?

what type of pump do you have with it? also make sure the pump has the proper impeller ect. the problem lies with the air intake. is there a compromise in the venturi valve at all?

It is all the original equipment. No compromise. I was reading and some people built a little stand for the skimmer. Any thoughts?

Looks similiar to a Reef Devil. I had a reef devil and absolutly hated it, was very hard to dial in.
