I will agree with those responses. The response for Point 6 is correct for DC but not AC and point 3 is a possible hazard but is not very likely to happen with modern equipment (broken glass heaters can do that often, but not likely for sealed pumps).
Back to the OP, sorry for thread jacking. I am way too fascinated with electrons, lol. I would recommend reading this article http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-06/sp/. I would try to eleminate as many of his potential causes as possible and your fish should recover well. Above all feed a variety of meaty and veggie foods (Veggie rounds a good choice for veggies) and keep water quality high
