Resealing a tank? (discoloration in original black seals)

I just purchased a 120 Oceanic Tech. Tank is at least 7 years old with black silicon seals. The black silicon is turning orange in several places - at least 50% of the bottom seals. And by seals, I do not mean the seals between the two pieces of glass, so much as the "filler" silicone on the seam - the transition between one piece to the other.

Should I reseal this tank before getting it up operational.

Who would you recommend to do such as task and do they do house calls?

The black silicon tends to do that and I wouldn't be to concerned, especially since its an Oceanic as they build tanks to last. If your paranoid and still want to re-do the seal, its super easy to do yourself.
The hardest part is taking a razor blade, cutting out the old seals and then cleaning up with rubbing alcohol. Then you just mask off your edges for the seals, apply silicon evenly, then pull the tape immediately afterward. Allow to cure for 24-48 hrs and you are good to go.

Better safe then sorry, your talking about 120 gallons and the bottom is what your worried about. Take the time to reseal it and sleep better at night.
