Wife no longer makes reef related stocking decisions. My previous 125 had Hairy mushrooms, green paly's, pulsing xenia and GSP, most of my wife's favorite corals. None of which are in my current system!

think it would probably do best on the sand on a frag, that way if it grows out take the extra out.

Not that simple. Xenia likes to take the current for a ride and land on rocks.
The best I could do with it was attach it to the back glass and keep the rocks very far from it.
It still invaded my rock but I just dug it off with a knife to keep it from spreading further.
