Strings coming out of Zoas?

    Should I b concerned? Have a nice sized rock covered in fire and ice and each one has strings coming out of the mouths. Some reach 3-4 inches.

    Looks to me like they are ejecting zooxanthellae. That happens to mine when i run higher light...the zooxanthellae reproduce faster than the zoanthid needs and they boot some out.

    edit: at least that is what i've read, if anyone else has any other insight please let me know.

    I get the same from time to time on various zoas, nothing to worry about...
