What's a good cheap test kit for a new guy?

My opinion is salifert for all except po4. Great test kits.

Cheap? Have a LFS test water params for you. Other than that, API seems the least expensive that I'd trust. Salifert is the old tried and true, but others have come on the market around the same price (they're just as accurate IMO, shhhhh don't tell the fanboys I said that )

So I have the API test kit that many of you said can be inaccurate and have actually given me different numbers than the fish store, so I may believe this.. would this be a decent kit?
