I have a 60 shallow tank that's 4x2x1. I'm thinking of using 1 RW-8 (I'm going bare bottom with this tank), however, after doing some research on it I'm confused as to whether I would need two pumps to make this model work or if one would suffice? It seems like most people buy two but the videos I've been seeing on the rw's only have one in the tanks and there were a few forums that mentioned needing to buy two to make the wave function work but nothing definitive. Thanks!

you can run it by itself. But its better to have 2 sources of flow for a more random flow.
